Tour of Cornwall cars going through one of the stages, and the Darien that caught fire.
Report as follows;  This Darien went off the road simply due to the rear of the car stepping out on a fast long corner into some gorse and long grass. As the driver tried to reverse out the car dug in and the dry grass was set alight. There was no mechanical problem with the car until it caught fire. The driver set off the in car extinguisher and the following cars used their extinguishers and we put our 3 extinguishers on to the car but to no avail. When the county Fire Service got to it, not only was the car going well, we had about 1000 square metres of grass and gorse alight.
